Corrotion is the main reason for concrete deterioration. Many commercial structures in the keys were built from concrete, and in due time, deterioration of the concrete will begin. There are two main reasons why concrete corrodes: general corrosion from carbon dioxide and pitting corrosion from chloride ions (aka: salt). Reinforcement exposed to carbonation for over long periods of time can eventually cause widespread cracking and spallin of the concrete. On the other hand, exposure to chloride ions from water and the environment that leaks to the concrete can cause pitting corrosion and further deterioration.
The visual signs of serious concrete deterioration are cracks, spalls and rust stains. It is important to decide on the type and scale of restorative works. Some inadequacies such as poor maintenance and already possible poor craftsmanship of the builing can accelerate penetration of the concrete by the atmospheric carbon dioxide and water borne chloride ions from the environment.

He will be the guy you will meet first. He will come and assess your project and give you the initial proposal. Jeff has a vast knowledge in building structure and building techniques. He has focused to train and excel in every phase of the construction process. He is professional and respectful taking pride in his work and making his top concern to always meet his clients needs.
Luis is Peruvian by birth, Costa Rican by love and American by citizenship. He is a Master Artisan with 32 yrs of experience and a proud heritage of 3 generations of Artisans. Well educated in the fields of economics and law, Luis decided to pursue his true passion and create fine wood works. We have an extensive woodwork shop and warehouse where he builds all the projects for our clients. Some of his recent work with our company includes large projects in mansions in Miami Beach for renowned business figures. He is currently preparing for an exclusive project with the prestigious interior design firm ‘Atmosphere Creations Design Group’ in Miami Beach, FL as well. He loves and takes pride in his work. He is courteous and professional in all of his ways.
Costa Rican by birth and American at heart. She is the license holder for Shift Construction and the heart of the administration process of the company. Saray (as she is best known), has 12yrs of experience in the field of construction. She specializes in the planning and architectural process of the projects. She is currently pursuing a degree in Architecture and her main focus is to grow her company working side to side with her 2 partners, Jeff and Luis. Satisfied clients, excellent quality work and job safety are her ultimate priorities.
